Hi all,
Regarding the Outfit Rally planned for the 18th – 19th April 2020.
We are closely watching the current Covid-19 crisis and taking it seriously. We certainly don’t want any of our members or guests to be put at risk by attending our activities.
At this stage we are not planning on cancelling the event, and will update members via the forum, Facebook and via email as required. We can supply water if required so that attendees are able to wash their hands. They will need to provide their own soap at this stage as we are unable to purchase due to panic buying. Attendees may have to also bring own toilet paper if we are unable to purchase prior to the event.
Hope that you all stay well during this current health crisis.
Regards
Tracey

Not happy Jan...… and you think that I am A lot of planning goes into our rallies and to cancel one is not taken lightly. We had completed all the planning for this rally and were ready to go. The COVID-19 plans are changing daily, so we may not have been able to hold our rally regardless. I know that there are some people that usually attend this rally who will still be going to Carters Beach, which is their choice and great. The majority of them will be in their own personal caravans/campers with the possibility of their own private toilet facilities. As Carters Beach has a PUBLIC long drop toilet with no access to running water and soap there is a very high risk of transmission. This virus could be transmitted simply by an unknowing COVID-19 positive attendee touching the toilet seat. Then the next user could become infected, and if not affecting themselves, infect their elderly relatives or friends. The most common cause of transfer for this virus is via poor hand hygiene. This rally also attracts a large number of attendees over a certain age with varying health conditions. These are the demographic that this virus has the potential to kill. You can call me selfish, but I was not comfortable holding an event with the potential to cause illness or potentially death to others. This is including the committee members who would be handling money and in close contact with attendees whilst working at the event.
