On my way home from Dargo I weighed my sidecar with me on it and with less gin and beer than when I left home. 706kg. That includes me at 87kg. So approximately 600kg riderless. I just saw a youtube video saying that a Ural outfit is 350kg dry weight. Still, the XJ900 has twice the power of the Ural. # On Monday I had 2 dips in the river, pants dried within minutes. I sat and drunk beer near frame almost all afternoon. Very pleasant. I left on Tuesday morning at 6.15am while it was still cool. First struck sunlight in my eyes at Bull Town Spur Track. Got home at 1.15pm after a few drink stops. Had about a dozen hitch-hiker huntsmans with me on the way home; fortunately none went across my visor while riding. :-) A great rally. I'm now having dreams about white beards, must go and watch Gandalf in the Hobbit.
