On Sunday we will be travelling around 190kms around the outskirts North of Bendigo using forest and back country roads. The heading West and camping at Melville Caves.

Hey campers, here is a further update on the four day ride over the cup weekend. Meeting at 101 Warrandyte road Warrandyte, which is a car park with a toilet block in it. It's 500 mts west of the round about on the right hand side just passed the Grand Hotel coming from Ringwood at 9.30am for a 10.00am departure with full tanks please. Saturday night will be a free camp at Mt Alexander regional park then Sunday night a free camp at Melville caves and Sunday (Monday ??) night at tree tops camp ground in Riddles Creek. It a fee of just under $10 a head and plenty of options for food in town. Remember you dont have to have a postie but be prepared for postie pace and postie antics along the way... Cheers, Peter.

Yes that is correct, as Lee has changed it to Monday night the 5th Nov at Riddells Creek. The meeting place is 101 Warrandyte Rd about 20 metres past Whipstick Gully Rd. If you look on Google maps the toilet block shows up as 101. Hope this helps, its easier for riders to meet there Rather than lose people in the traffic and lights.
Cheers, Pete

Hi Gary, I am not able to go but the previous posts just about cover it. Just turn up at the meeting place and time with bike and camping gear..... Tracey or Bear will probably chime in here sometime today for you or I could get Tracey to call you if you need that.

Currently as far as I know there is 5 going for the entire trip, with another 2 for at least part of it.
Just bring your camping gear, should be fun and weather is looking good.
We should be back in Warrandyte around lunchtime on Tuesday.

A huge THANKS to Pete for the hours of work planning the route for this ride, it was awesome.
Thanks again to our regular postie crew comprising of Jack, Wayne, Anthony and Bear who could only stay for the one day and night. Was lovely to meet Lee on his postie cub "Myfanwy", who told us when we were having tea at the end of the trip, that he had never ridden on dirt before.
Was a great trip.

In my opinion, Mark was not a special guest as it looked like he used the ride for his own purposes.
Not cool.
Aside from this, Mark seems a really nice bloke and I think that he does a lot of good with his videos for his followers.
edit by admin.... Some form of acknowledgement that this was an “organised and planned ride” by Monarch members for members would have made a great video even better in my opinion.

If I close one eye and squint with the other, it almost looks like a real bike......😜
Is a quick postie bike called an ‘express postie’ ?
