Fake news....no no, late news..... Forgot to mention PG of Monarchs fame won best engineered outfit and longest distance travelled at the NSW sidecar rally with his very nice Suzuki 1400 and camp trailer. The three Amigo’s plus one (Duffy) had a hand in it.

Goodonya Lee. Would have loved to have continued with you, but I had my own little adventure on my way down, not taking dirt, but a lot of B grade roads. Great fun. Too tired to continue and stayed at Wagga. Learn't my lesson not to stay at big name caravan parks. $32 at the Wagga Big 4 park. Too tired to care. Stopped off at Mums at Euroa last night, then bloody near froze about Romsey today. Got one spit of rain on my visor about Baccus Marsh, but otherwise home safe and sound. Golden Dragon is out. War Office had made other plans. Bit over 2500km for the trip and the only rozzer I saw was at Kilmore before I dived back across country. The Doonster is so lucky making his acquaintance.

Doony and Lee became very competitive setting up their little "camps". I was surprised I didn't have to vote on their erecting efforts (you thought I was going to say erection efforts. Grubby buggers)

Bucket list roads for you people at home..... Womboyen Caves road Barrington Tops Forest road Comboyne road
I said to Doony a couple of days ago “one thing we are really shit at is finding boring roads”. We had not been on a boring road for a week BUT we found one today. Started to rain as we arrived at Kempsey. Plan was to back road it to Dorrigo and camp for the night. Looked pretty ordinary Dorrigo way so rang a friend and headed north on the slab to Grafton/Maclean and a warm dry house for the night......180km of boring motorway. Bought wine at Grafton and headed for Maclean via the ferry at Lawrence. Big line up at the ferry but after it went over and back a couple of times, we were on our way. Maclean......hospitality plus.....roast lamb, great company, great conversation.....hubby and wife both have sidecars......and we had wine and chocolate. Can life get any better ?.........think I will just stay here for a week.

Yeah, it is all good. Gunna put the bike up in the air and go over it with the spanners today before a jaunt around the local back tracks with our fabulous hosts showing us around. Looking foward to riding without the trailer for a bit. Fabulous journey. Cheers, doonie.

So the NSW SideCar Rally is done and dusted. We have had a couple of great days with friends near Maclean. Some maintenance, a tour of the district and a nice wine or two. Friday we are going to the Russian Rally at Ewingar, south east of Tenterfield. Sunday will see us heading south again..........
